Jon Zenji Bower (AKA. Zenzen)was born in Bath. His father was Anglo Burmese and his mother was Burmese. They often travelled to Asia and widely. As a young man Zenzen went to Burma with his parents and soon after he joined the monks at the Mingalazedi Pagoda. After 18 months he spent time with a family of smiths before he returned to Bath where his father was a successful gem dealer.
